The damaging effect of COVID-19 on the airline industry is no secret. With profits plummeting, airlines are scrambling to make money as soon as possible. As a result, many are converting passenger cabins to carry cargo; in order to, transport medical supplies and other commercial goods. However, this forces airlines to obtain a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC), which can be time-consuming.
In our ongoing efforts to support customers during these challenging times, Global is offering an expedited cargo solution. Our team possesses the unique ability to provide a cabin-to-cargo conversion without obtaining an STC.
There are numerous configurations, but our approach consists of two main options. The first would remove all seats from the cabin, while the second option would strap cargo to the existing seats. In either solution, any number of seats can be removed or retained as long as it adheres to the published IATA, FAA, and EASA guidance.
