Offering customers the ability to modify their aircraft anywhere in the world!

Cincinnati, Ohio | July 2018 Global Aerospace Design Corp. (Global) and Spirit Aeronautics (Spirit) are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) upgrade approved under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Approved Model List (AML) Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) ST04298CH and ST04299CH.

“Global is proud to have been a part of another successful program,” said Todd Hamblin, Vice President of Business Development at Global. “Our focus is on safety and customer satisfaction, and we look forward to continuing to add to these AML STCs in order to streamline airline flight operations”.

“Working with Global Aerospace Design Corp. on this program was extremely efficient. They are a very talented group and we are thankful to have partnered with them on this program. Having a solid certification package for our ready to go road teams is a big deal with aircraft of this size. It’s part of our outside in customer centric approach and we find our clients are loving it. Saves them time, money, and makes the entire process much more comfortable,” said Don Milum, Vice President of Sales at Spirit Aeronautics.

ADS-B is an aircraft, ground and satellite-based transmission system which enhances safety by making an aircraft visible, in real-time, to Air Traffic Control (ATC) with position and velocity data, regardless of radar coverage. ADS-B will update aircraft activity with more frequency and greater accuracy allowing ATC to use airspace more efficiently, which will reduce ground hold and flight times while improving access to desired altitudes. The FAA has set a compliance date for ADS-B Out equipage of December 31, 2019.
