Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS)

An aircraft collisions avoidance system designed to greatly reduce the chance of mid-air collisions.

Flat Panel Display Systems (FPDS)

A complete overhaul of the flight deck, taking it from analog to digital displays. Global provided installation design services for IS&S’ Flat Panel Display Systems, giving us the expertise to support, design, and certify FPDS modifications.

Future Air Navigation Systems (FANS 1/A+)

Direct pilot-controller data link communications system. As of January 31, 2020, all transatlantic flights wishing to fly above FL290 must be equipped with FANS 1/A+. Learn more here!

Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC)

A two-way data-link system that allows controllers to transmit non-urgent messages to and from the aircraft as an alternative to voice communications. Global has obtained FAA STC ST04417CH for the upgrade of CPDLC on B767-300. Learn more here!

Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcasting (ADS-B Out)

An air-ground satellite-based communications transmission system. Global is the owner of two (2) ADS-B Out FAA STCs ST04298CH and ST04299CH for the upgrade of ADS-B Out Utilizing Rockwell Collins TPR-901 Mode S Transponders and ACSS XS-950 Mode S Transponders, both of which have been certified for multiple position sources.
